How to performance water-sediment scour on DualSPHysics NNewtonian

Dear all,

I would like to ask about settings of nnphases. While I' m working on local scour of bridge pier in 3D with NNewtonian, I have some problems with the parameters of the sediment phase. According to Fourtakas' s thesis, I take the HBP_m=100 and HBP_n=1.8. However, the value of "visco" and "tau_yield" is not that clear.

My questions are: 1. Is it possible to use DualSPHysics v5.0 NNewtonian to calculate local scour of bridge pier in 3D? 2. Whether there are recommended value for parameters to get reasonable results?

    As the initial surface of the sediment is 0.2m, the sediment particle would float up as soon as the simulation begins. I' m really confused. 😢
