Viscosity Value- scaling factor

Hello,

i would have a question about the viscosity:

in all examples of nnewtonian fluids the viscosity is about 0.001 / 0.01 or 0.1 m²/s but the kinematic viscosity should be approximately 10^(-6) m²/s (for water and also for many other fluids - or at least in the same scale).

Example:

Is there something i miss, is there a scaling factor? or were all examples only choosen with high viscosity?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

  • Who says it has to be 10^-6? Maybe they are simulating other liquids. You are right for water it is as such, but this is a multi phase simulation.

They seem to be using constitutive equations, but not sure what they mean

    Kind regards
