File of the particles was not found

I'm trying to run the case now with a dp of 0.05 m instead of 0.1 m.

The error message that I get now is:
*** Exception (JPartsLoad4::LoadParticles)
Text: File of the particles was not found.
File: C:/work/DualSPHysics/testcase1/testcase1_out/testcase1.bi4

Yet, it CLEARLY exists in my testcase1_out directory.

So I don't really understand why it seems to be having troubles finding it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • What is it that you're trying to do?

Are you trying to load particle information(.bi4) and convert it to .vtk?

Could you attach a screenshot of your .bat file?

  • is your bi4 file of 3GB?
  • @Alex
Yes, my bi4 file is almost 3.5 GB.

    Is that problematic?

There was a Youtube video that I saw where over 110 million particles were simulated using GPUs, so I would have to assume that the bi4 file for that case is also > 3.5 GB.

I'm also using single precision. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

    Thank you.

I'm trying to get the run started.

During startup, the program will look for/call the %name%.bi4 after it runs the gencase.

If you would like, I can share my data with you so that you can take a look at it and then maybe you will be able to provide some feedback to me in terms of how I have the case set up.

Please let me know if you would like me to do that.

    Thank you.
  • Send the XML and your script (.sh or .bat) file to us (dualsphysics@gmail.com) and we will check it

    Regards
  • Sent. Thank you.
  • we have not received the email ....
  • @Alex
Gmail blocked the email beacuse it contained the .bat file.

I've resent it where I renamed the Windows batch file extension from .bat to .bat.txt.

    Thank you.
  • @Alex
I sent you the stl file.

Please note that the XML right now, please confirm that the dp is 0.05. If it isn't , please change it. If it is, then nothing needs to be done.

    Thank you.
