ViscoBoundFactor for No-Slip-Condition

Hello,

I am setting up a simulation case and was just wondering how to set the "ViscoBoundFactor" in order to get a no-slip-condition at the boundary for either artificial and laminar viscosity. Is there a recommended value?

Best Regards!

  • Our DBC are not conventional boundaries so the concept of slip/no-slip is not completely clear here. We think that DBC are non-slip since our boundary particles are essentially frozen fluid ones.

The use of ViscoBoundFactor allows you to "numerically" simulate some roughness. For example we achieve nice validations with water tanks using ViscoBoundFactor=0 but if you want to simualte another material you can play with this value.

  • Thank you, now I have an idea how to deal with this value.
