Compute moments with ComputeForces

edited January 2017 in DualSPHysics_v4.0
Hello,

I am using the tool ComputeForces to compute the force exerted by the water onto a floating body. ComputeForces gives me a .csv file with the following columns : Part;Time;Np;Forces.x;Forces.y;Forces.z;Forces

My question is : is it possible to have all the components of the force, ie. the 3 forces and the 3 moments acting on the floating body ?

  • Yes, FloatingInfo gives you that results.
Please email us to dualsphysics@gmail.com and we will send to you a new version of ComputeForces that will give you only the buoyant force acting on the floating object.
