Problem with STL geometry

edited February 2016 in Old versions
One more question.
I designed a very simple geometry using blender (something like the CASEDAMBREAK, without the second box); exported it as STL and used it within the Pre-Processing tool. Wanted to get run a very basic thing, before trying more complex geometries.
I used the Constants and Parameters of CaseDambreak, but my fluid just "drops down" instead of flowting till the other side of the box. What am I doing wrong?

  • The option to import STL geometries will create particles ONLY in FACE mode, no SOLID mode. So if you import fluid.stl you are not going to create a volume of particles, but fluid only in the limts

  • Hi Alex
thanks again for the answer. Made a "workaround" by creating a box of fluid instead of using the fluid.stl
    seems to work.

  • the option "fillbox" to fill areas with fluid before given limits or before finding boundary particles is alway the most useful option
