Relations between artificial viscosity and realistic viscosity
During the modelling process, I find little description about the artificial viscosity term. Does the value I set for artificial viscosity stands for the "PI" in the pressure-to-velocity formulation or only the "alpha" inside "PI". If it is indeed "alpha", does that mean there is no quadratic term in the viscosity? Also, what is the intepretation from realistic shear viscosity to artificial viscosity in SPH?
I know there should probably be an standard paper somewhere explaining the relations between artificial viscosity and realistic viscosity of water. But I would still like to put a thread here for the abundance of the forum.
