DualSPHysics Users Workshop to be held in Manchester in 2015

edited January 2015 in Old versions
Dear DualSPHysics user,

After feedback from many of you, the DualSPHysics team is preparing a DualSPHysics Users Workshop to be held in Manchester, at the end of January 2015 for 1-2 days.

Our present thoughts are that the aim of this workshop is to give the chance for users to:
- discuss the usability of the code
- hear Developer Talks from members of the team
- Troubleshooting sessions for help with your simulations
- discuss how to help implementing new SPH theoretical aspects
- discuss how to help implementing new functionalities
- how to contribute to the DualSPHysics project
- share the results achieved by using the code and present applications of DualSPHysics
- discuss applications that can be and cannot be studied with SPH and DualSPHysics in particular

Hence, the workshop will combine keynotes of DualSPHysics developers joint with sessions with talks given by the delegates.
We envisage preparing a book of abstracts/short papers for the workshop.

Initially, we want to know would you be interested in participating in such event?
What other topics you would include?

Best regards,

The DualSPHysics team

  • We thank you for your interest to participate in the DualSPHysics workshop. Unfortunately at this late stage we have not received enough abstracts to make running the event worthwhile. However, we still intend to run the event later in the year, September 2015, where we hope to attract a greater level of interest.

We hope you understand why we have postponed the event and apologise for any inconvenience. We hope that you will still be able to participate in the September event.

    Best regards

    DualSPHysics team
