Compiling options

edited June 2014 in Old versions
Hi guys,

I'm wondering if I can choose following options for a simulation with DualSPHysics:
1. Predictor-Corrector time stepping scheme
2. Repulsive Boundary Conditions
3. Kernel correction

I know that they are available when using SPHysics, but there is nothing said about them in the DualSPHysics documentation ....

Thanks for the help!

  • In the DualSPHysics Guide you will find the options that are implemented in the current version.

  • SPH formulation already available on the new DualSPHysics code:
    • Time integration scheme:
    - Verlet [Verlet, 1967].
    - Symplectic [Leimkhuler, 1996].
    • Variable time step [Monaghan and Kos, 1999].
    • Kernel functions:
    - Cubic Spline kernel [Monaghan and Lattanzio, 1985].
    - Quintic Wendland kernel [Wendland, 1995].
    • Density filter:
    - Shepard filter [Panizzo, 2004].
    - Delta-SPH formulation [Molteni and Colagrossi, 2009].
    • Viscosity treatments:
    - Artificial viscosity [Monaghan, 1992].
    - Laminar viscosity + SPS turbulence model [Dalrymple and Rogers, 2006].
    • Weakly compressible approach using Tait’s equation of state.
    • Dynamic boundary conditions [Crespo et al., 2007].
    • Floating objects [Monaghan et al., 2003].
    • Periodic open boundaries
