New DualSPHysics v3.1

edited March 2014 in Old versions
We have released new packages of DualSPHysics with the beta executable of v3.1 that includes:

- New floating-rigid body implementation.
- Rigid-rigid contacts are now computed using contact mechanics theories (Discrete Element Method).
- This is a beta version, so support and stuff on the forum is limited and you should read the readme file included in the new version.

  • I performed CaseSolids. Runtime = 13,761 hours, particles = 2 263 436
    steps = 67 142 Tesla C2070
  • I'm very interested in the coupling between DEM and SPH. How can I download the new version v3.1 of DualSPHysics? And when will it be released?
    Thanks a lot!
  • Hello Henry,

    You can download a beta version now! The package now available for download contains the 3.1 beta as well as the 3.0 original.

    Regards.
  • Only executable of v3.1 is available.
    Source files of DEM + SPH will be released as soon as we published different works related to this approach.

    Regards

    Alex
  • Hi, Alex. I want to know how DualSPHysics deal with the interaction between fixed boundary and a rigid body.
  • I mean, could dualsphysics model friction exerted on a rigid body by fixed boundary?
