Fluid particles penetrate solid boundaries in non-Newtonian flow

If I use non-Newtonian multiphase flow with two types of fluid and a lot of floating particles inside one fluid, the latter starts to penetrate solid boundaries. If I freeze the floating particles at the beginning of the simulation and let the fluid flow through the solid, the situation improves, but it still gets worse after some time when I continue the simulation.

Can someone give me some advice, please? Thank you for your time!

  • Hi,

How thick your walls are ? are you using DBC or mDBC ?

    cheers

  • Hi, the walls are 4Dp thick. I used DBC; mDBC is currently unavailable for non-Newtonian multiphase flow. Reducing the Dp value and shifting particles with a coefficient of 1 helped, but it is still not perfect.
