What is the formulation used in FloatingInfo Rigid DOFs?

Hi Guys,

What formulation is used in the floatinginfo to compute the Rigid DOFs (Surge, Sway, Heave, Roll, Pitch, Yaw)?

For example, is the surge the x-motion of the center of mass or the mean of the x-motion of all floating particles?


  • center.x is the x-motion of the center of mass

    surge is surge... so that only displacement from initial position in x-direction



  • Got it. How about the Pitch motion?

    Pitch is the angle along the y-axis
