How to debug DualSPHysics code in real-time

Hi!

I am trying to develop the dualSPHysics code, However, I can only call the generated .exe file through the .bat file. In this way, I cannot observe the problems of the program in real-time.

Is there any way I can debug the program step by step? I tried to compile on both Windows and Linux environments, but couldn't find a way.

This is really important to me. Can anyone give me some advice?

The .bat file is employed to feed the .exe in order to initialise DualSPHysics and run the simulation easily with the required arguments, for example, consider the following line of any .bat file :

%dualsphysicsgpu% -gpu %dirout%/%name% %dirout% -dirdataout data

Those arguments are sent in the array argv of the int main(int argc, char** argv) function included in the main.cpp file. Therefore, if you give the parameter directly in the code by filling each position of the array argv, you can run directly the debugger of Microsoft Visual Sutudio and add breackpoints where you consider to check step by step.
