Early termination of simulation
In the XML guide, this is mentioned:
I was wondering: what file format should this TERMINATE file be. Will a regular .txt file work or does it have to be a specific file type? In addition, where should this file be placed? Based on the text above the directory should be where all the Part_XXX.bi4 files are saved. Could I get a confirmation on this? Thank you.

Have you tried to start a simulation and then making this file, to see what happens?

Yes I have tried doing that, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Currently I'm just putting an empty .txt file named "TERMINATE" in the output folder ("data" in the examples provided), which should terminate the simulation after the current output according to the ss above, but it doesn't appear to have any effect. I've also tried putting a specific time in the .txt file but it doesn't work either.
Try placing it one step above data, i.e. in the "Case_out" folder.
Try making the file without any extension name

I have tested before, it can work indeed, maybe you operate wrong in somewhere!
