ViscoBoundFactor for just one Mk

Hello,

I know that this question was brought up previously, but it was not resolved. I'm doing a study on a type of breakwater, aquaculture setup in a wave basin using Dualsphysics. I'd like to apply a certain roughness to one geometry in the basin, while keeping the other boundaries at the default. I see that a good way to apply roughness is by converting a Manning roughness to the ViscoBoundFactor, but is there a way to apply this to just one MK, while keeping the others the same? If not, are there any suggestions for other ways to apply roughness to one element.

Thank you

  • That is a good question. I guess we should include this option near in the future.

However right now the only way is to modify the source code for that aim.

I guess this is also what will be possible and even easier with the new additions to the mDBC constraint? Since we can have a condition which says, "reduce velocities by X %" if I am not mistaken?

EDIT: Perhaps this should also be an option for each body, and not a general option

    Kind regards
