Chrono: Boundary Condition

I am a user of DualSPHysics. Recently, I plan to use Chrono to calculate some questions, but there are some doubts that may need your answer.
I have read several articles[1,2,3] about DVI, but I still can't understand the principle of DVI due to the lack of space and my own understanding.
*Is the SPH-DVI method an ALE method? Through the explanation in the picture, can DVI be regarded as a grid method?
*When using this method to deal with the contact between two rigid bodies, is the contact between them still calculated in the form of particles?
*Are DBC and mDBC in boundary conditions also applicable to DVI objects?
