maximum input file size for CAD .stl format

hello,

I want to do a a study with inletoutlet boundary condition for an automotive plenum water mangement to monitor if any water is going inside the HVAC unit thorugh cowl openings. I will have 10 different .stl files and each of them might be more that 20MB.

I tried to test genCase only with one .stl file which is 22MB of size. It gives me a warning that size exceeded 20 mb and also it did not generate any particle cloud for the stl file. I am attaching some log files here.

What is the max CAD file input handling capacity for dualSphysics? Thanks.

  • here are the logs. Sorry forgot to attach in the ticket.

  • to further add some notes, my .stl file size that I tries was actually 224 MB (not 22 MB as I stated before). I now reopened that .stl file in paraview and did save data and save as binary format. It reduced the size to 64 MB. But anyway, i see the following output, but if I try to open the MkCells.vtk, I don't see anything in th render view. To my understanding the MkCells.vtk will be able to show the particle cloud of the CAD geometry if the genCase is successful. Is that right?
