Creating initial geometry (fluid particles position) from an output files from another case.

Is there any way to create a geometry from an output files from another case?
After a simulation you have files that hold all the information about particles. I need to pull out the position (and preferably their MKs) of particles and then use it as an initial state for another case simulation. They say that it is possible.
I'll appreciate any help)
