Tensile Instability Correction

Hi,

Would it be possible to confirm whether or not the tensile instability correction proposed by Monaghan (2000) is implemented in Dual-SPHysics as it was the case for SPHysics.

    I believe it is yes, functionality should be as per SPHysics.

    It is only used for the Cubic Spline kernel. You have to see the source files first.

    The same formulation as in SPHysics has been implemented.

    The wendland kernel does not need tensile instability. For more information about this, read the dissertion of Martin Robinson: Turbulence and Viscous Mixing using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, Monash University. 2009.
