How to void a prism inside a solid box?

edited November 2019 in DualSPHysics v4.4

Hi, Sorry the question might look naive, but I tried too much to figure this out, no success.

I am trying to create a complex geometry, and I need to have a prism void inside a solid box.

To void the prism, I used the <setmkvoid />, but it did not work. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • Hi,

    I would proceed as follow:

    1) generate the box shell and prism shell (either using the geometry tools provided with "setdrawmode" to face, or by creating a custom geometry and importing it, see pump exemple)

    2) fill the void between the two shells using "fiilpoint" or "fillbox" with "modefill" set to void

    Cheers

PS: check code specifics in the xml guide and youtube tutorials

  • Thank you very much
