Training school "Modelling WECs with SPH" in Ourense, Spain

We are pleased to inform you that the training school "Numerical modelling of WECs using SPH models" will take place on the 22th and 23rd of January at Campus de Ourense, Universidade de Vigo, Spain. This activity is organised thanks to the WECANet COST Action CA17105 "A pan-European Network for Marine Renewable Energy".

 

The training school aims to give a good introduction about the meshless particle methods based on SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) methodology and its benefits in the simulation of Wave Energy Converters (WECs). Attendants will also use the open-source code DualSPHysics to simulate waves interacting with Oscillating Wave Surge Converter (OWSC), with floating Point Absorbers and with Attenuators:

WECANet can offer a grant of (500 EUR/person) for 25 persons.
