what is the meaning of cell in codes？

Hi guys：
In the codes，I am confused with the meaning of cell. For example:

Is the cell related to the integral within smoothing length?
When I calculate the velocity of one fluid particle, the program will make an average in one cell centered with this fluid particle, right?

Another question: where is the completement of integral within smoothing length in codes?
