Liquid + Gas + Floating Analysis - Particles Out

edited March 2019 in DualSPHysics v4.2
I am new to the multi-phase functions and is currently doing analysis for some water entry problem. During analysis, i noted that there are particles out at every step of the analysis (below screenshot)

1. Is it normal and will this impact the accuracy of analysis results?
2. Is there any parameters need to be particularly pay attention for multi-phase analysis?

  • Hey

It is very hard to help since we do not know which fluids you are simulating. Have you looked at the guide for setting up af multi phase simulation in DualSPHysics under files?

Generally particles out is very bad since you are losing "mesh", but if particles out is only 1 % often times I neglect it, from practical experience. If it is like 10% of total, you start having some trouble.

    Kind regards
  • @Asalih3d Thanks for the advice. The simulated fluids are air and water. I attached the _def file for easy reference.

By the way, do you see any errors in the _def files?
  • Your speed of sound for water is very low, this might be a problem. Try playing with different parameters and keep a documentation sheet.
