I've been playing with the coupling with project Chrono. I've had a problem.
I'm simulating a gate closing on its on weigth to prevent water from gonig back.
My problem is that when there is no water to move the gate, it tends to "stick" or " fuse" with the opening the gate is closing and then when water comes back it doesn't move anymore.
I've tried to add more layers to both the gate and the openning but I had no luck...
I'm using a hinge to articulate the gate, is there any way to restrict the range of possible rotations other than putting object to collide (and fuse) with ?
The situation when everything is OK
Now the gate stick with the opening...
Otherwise the coupling is really great !
Thanks for your help.
I've been testing the new open boundary implementation on a simple case before to move on much more complicated cases connected to my researches.
I've noticed that if the last row of particles in the buffer region is exactly coincident with the last row of boundary particles the simulation suddenly crashes using GPU computing, while it proceeds smoothly with CPU computing.
Here attached the output displayed on the terminal and my simulation setup.

Thanks in advance for the help
Can you please annex a minimal working example with the problem? I can't seem to understand/reproduce it.
Regards,
Ricardo
Here is one of the test I made.
Problem occurs around 3.8seconds (i.e. 90 parts of 1/24 of a second)
Thanks for your help!!
Don't hesitate to ask me any precision
Tanguy
First of all, I'm quite a newbie in the domain so sorry if I ask kind of weird questions. I'm actually trying to simulate a vortex with the beta version 4.3 of DualSPHysics. I'm launching the job on the remote servers of my university but when I start it, I receive the following slurm message:
/var/spool/slurmd/job5226842/slurm_script: line 42: ../../../bin/linux/GenCase4_linux64: Permission denied
Execution aborted
Does somebody know if this "permission denied" come from DualSPHysics or from the remote servers that I'm using? I might also do something wrong when lauching it because I'm also a newbie in Linux. Anyway I'm quite lost.
Thank you for future answer!
give permissions to GenCase in your cluster....
Please add the two phase model in the version 4.3.
