Kcorr

edited May 2017 in DualSPHysics_v4.0
Hi

In the dam break test case, the parameter "Kcorr" is extracted with the Measuretool.
I can not find this parameter in the formulation.
What is this and where is it used?

  • Would you please answer this question?
    Thanks
  • So sorry, "kcorr" is the kernel summation (summation of all values of kernel p1-p2 during interaction with all neighbours), sumWab.
If kernel is normalised and the particle of interest is surronded by many fluid particles in the interaction domain, this value should be closed to 1.
Hence, we can use the value to normalised the computed quantity by "kcorr" (applying a shepard filter).

  • Hi
    Too much thanks!!!
Would you mind please show these states via their formulas?
